Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Burraq Soft (Karachi, Pakistan) — “we” or “us” — for using Burraq Personal Accounting Software (“Burraq”), our online accounting software. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and give a real email address.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us straight away at mahboobyasser@yahoo.com if you think someone else has used it.
- One account is for one person or household's personal books.
2. Free trial and subscription
- New accounts get a 30-day free trial with everything included. No card is needed for the trial.
- After the trial, Burraq costs US$20 per month, billed monthly in advance until you cancel. Sales tax or VAT may be added depending on your country.
- Payments are handled by our reseller and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, which processes your card, charges any applicable taxes and sends your receipts. Their own terms apply to the payment.
- In Pakistan you can instead pay Rs 5,000 per month (or the price shown on the Subscription page) by JazzCash, for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months at a time. We unlock the months once we have confirmed your payment, and nothing renews by itself.
- You can cancel at any time from the Subscription page. You keep full access until the end of the month you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
- If the trial ends or a subscription stops, we don't delete anything: your books become read-only — you can still view and download them — until you subscribe again.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email. A new price applies from your next billing period after the notice.
3. Your data
- Your books belong to you. You can download all of your data at any time (Settings → Your data) and delete your account permanently (Settings → Delete my account).
- You give us permission to store and process your data only to run Burraq for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't sell your data.
- Your books are kept only on your own device, not on our servers. You are responsible for saving backups (Backup in the menu) and keeping them safe: if a device is lost, broken or reset without a backup, we can't recover its books.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Burraq to break the law, to store content you have no right to, to try to access other people's data, to attack or overload the service, or to resell it without our written permission.
5. Not financial, tax or legal advice
Burraq is a tool for keeping records and producing reports from what you enter. It doesn't give financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and you are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for any returns or decisions based on it. Please consult a qualified professional where needed.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep Burraq available and secure, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. We may improve or change features; if we make a change that significantly reduces what you pay for, you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of the current month.
7. Liability
Burraq is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or data), and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Burraq and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after warning you where reasonable; you will be able to download your data first unless the law prevents it.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will email you at least 14 days before it applies. Continuing to use Burraq after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Karachi have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection where you live. Contact us at mahboobyasser@yahoo.com.
